Since we took over the manufacturing of the VB36 in 2013 we have been constantly improving the lathe. Here are just a few recently improved issues:

• Stand sealed at bottom to prevent moisture penetration that could damage electronics.
• Metal base has one opening for access to electronics.  A metal door with latch seals opening.
• Inverter mounted on a metal plate.  This plate is attached to a standard electronic rail system in the middle of the base for improved airflow.  Can be accessed easily through metal access door.
• New control panel with start, stop, forward/reverse and speed controls.  The control panel is attached to lathe with a strong magnet. 
• Acceleration/deceleration switch is now located in the lathe base near the main power switch.
• Footswitch is included in the lathe package.
• Spindle tension adjustment at the rear of the spindle has been improved. New system prevents noises from thrust washer.
• Index scale sticker at the castings around the spindle under the hand wheel.  Improves spindle indexing.
• Headstock and stand are powder coated on the inside to prevent rust.
• Nut on tool rest beam tightening mechanism is larger for improved stability.
• Rear spindle opening now threaded to accept vacuum chucking rotary union.  Complete Vacuum-chucking system available with or without vacuum pump.
• Stand has been modified to improve tool rest beam movement.  Allows better access to outboard side of lathe.
• Single source manufacturing and assembly has improved over all tolerances on lathe.  All connections and fitting have been modernized for improved fit and finish of lathe.
